About the role

Key responsibilities

Prepare the cath lab before each case, checking the C-arm, recording system, pressure transducers, defibrillator and emergency drugs.
Set up the sterile trolley with sheaths, catheters, guidewires and contrast for the planned procedure.
Run the haemodynamic and ECG recording system, zero the transducers, and record pressures and events during the case.
Hand balloons, stents and wires to the cardiologist and note batch numbers and sizes of everything used.
