How it works
- Open Reports and browse by category: payroll, attendance, leave, employee, document, compliance, statutory registers, PF, ESI, gratuity and settlement, bonus and wages.
- Pick a report, and ZeniaHR shows the filters it uses, such as payroll period, date range, branch, department, designation, employee status or leave type.
- Generate it to see the rows on screen, with totals where the report has them.
- Export to CSV for Excel, for your auditor or for your own analysis.
- Reports follow the branch you are working in and, once access control is on, your role's data scope.

Why ready reports save the month-end
Without ready reports, every month-end starts with an export from one system, a lookup against another and a pivot table that breaks when someone adds a column. The same six or seven reports are rebuilt by hand, and each rebuild is a chance for error. Ready reports read directly from the records in ZeniaHR for the period and branch you choose, so the leave register, the joiners list and the exit report come out the same way every month.
Worked example: a monthly HR pack in Hyderabad
On the second working day of each month, the HR executive at a Hyderabad pharma distributor with 260 staff builds the management pack for the previous month. She runs the Employee Joining Report and the Employee Exit Report for the month's date range, the Leave Register filtered to the Sales department, and the Monthly Attrition Report for the year so far. She adds the quick Headcount by department report and the salary bands view for the Hyderabad branch. Each is exported to CSV and dropped into the pack, and the job takes under an hour.
Tips for reliable reports
Reports are only as good as the records behind them. A few habits on the data side, kept all month rather than rushed on the last day, make the monthly pack quick to build and easy to defend when management or an auditor asks where a number came from.
- Close the month's attendance and approvals before running month-end reports.
- Use the same filters every month so figures compare.
- Keep department and designation masters clean, since reports group by them.
- Limit export rights to people who need to take data out.

How do I export HR reports to Excel in ZeniaHR?
Generate the report with the filters you need, check it on screen and export it to CSV, which opens directly in Excel. Many HR teams keep a monthly folder of these files for audits and management reviews, named by report and month so the trail is easy to follow.
Can I run a report for one branch or department?
Yes. Most reports take branch and department filters, along with a payroll period or date range. Reports also follow the branch you are working in, and once access control is on, the data scope of your role limits which employees appear.
What is a salary band report?
It counts active employees by monthly salary range: below ₹25,000, ₹25,000 to ₹50,000, ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh, and ₹1 lakh and above. It is one of four quick workforce reports in ZeniaHR, useful for a first look at pay distribution before a salary review.
Does ZeniaHR have leave reports?
Yes. The leave category includes the leave register, leave summary and leave application report, filtered by period, department, employee or leave type. For day-to-day planning, the leave calendar shows approved and pending leave by person and day, and the leave ledger shows each balance change.
