How Haryana sets this minimum wage
Haryana notifies a single statewide minimum wage with no zones, fixed by skill category from unskilled to highly-skilled, with a separate grade for clerical and supervisory staff.
Figures are notified per month, with a per-day rate for a 26-day month.
Haryana's rates are revised twice a year, on 1 January and 1 July, as the Variable Dearness Allowance is updated. The rates on this page apply for 1 April 2026.
What employers must do
Classify each housekeeping worker correctly: a plain housekeeping worker doing cleaning, sweeping, mopping and sanitation is unskilled, while a supervisor or specialised housekeeping worker may sit a category higher and must be paid more. Pay overtime at twice the ordinary rate, keep a wage register and wage slips, and update payroll whenever Haryana revises its rates.
