How Uttarakhand sets its minimum wages

Uttarakhand notifies minimum wages per scheduled employment, so there is no single blanket state rate. The table above is the Shops and Commercial Establishments schedule, split across two bands by town population and made up of a basic wage plus a Variable Dearness Allowance of ₹518 per month.
