How it works
- The employee opens My attendance and picks a month. The current month is shown by default.
- Each day shows in, break and out times, gross hours, breaks, effective hours, late by, and the status with its reason.
- Totals show present, half day, absent, leave, weekly off, holiday, late marks, early exits and hours worked. Download CSV saves the month.
- The month strip shows working and payable days with late marks and penalties, and How your attendance is counted lists the rules in force.
- For a wrong day, the employee clicks Raise a request under Attendance corrections, picks the date and the issue, enters the corrected times and gives a reason.
- The page shows how many corrections are allowed this month and how far back, and the request goes to the reporting manager and then HR.
What you can set
- Month picker: any past month, with This month to return.
- CSV download of the graded days for the month.
- Penalties this month: late marks, early exits and late arrivals, with the days each cost.
- Correction issues include Missed check-in, Missed check-out, Wrong time, Forgot check-out, Status correction and Other.
- Limits: corrections a month and days back, as set in the attendance rules.
- A correction for a finalized month is refused, with a message to ask HR to reopen it.
Why employees should see the same numbers as payroll
Most attendance complaints are not about the rule but about surprise. An employee sees a half day on the payslip and has no idea why. When the same graded days that feed payroll are open to the employee all month, with the reason for each status and the rules written out, questions come early, while a correction is still possible, instead of after salaries are credited. HR spends less time explaining and more time fixing real errors.
Worked example: a store assistant in Lucknow checks her month
Farah Siddiqui is a store assistant in Lucknow. On 24 September she opens My attendance and sees 18 present days, 1 half day and 2 late marks, with no penalty yet, because her company's first 3 late marks are free. The half day on 22 September shows the reason 'No punch-out, half day until corrected'. She remembers leaving at 9:10 pm after stock-taking, 10 minutes after her shift ended.
Fixing the day
She clicks Raise a request, chooses Forgot check-out, enters 9:10 pm and writes 'Stayed for stock-taking, forgot to punch'. The page shows she has used 0 of 3 corrections this month, and 22 September is within the 7 days back her company allows. Her manager approves the next morning and HR the same afternoon. The day now shows as present, her payable days go up by half a day, and she downloads the month as CSV for her own records.
- Check My attendance once a week, not only at month end.
- Raise corrections within the days-back limit, or HR has to raise them for you.
- Give a reason your manager can check, such as stock-taking or a client visit.
- Keep an eye on late marks: the free ones run out quickly in a busy month.

Can employees see their own attendance records?
Yes. My attendance on My Self-Service shows every day of any past month as it was graded, with punch times, hours, late minutes and the reason for each status. Totals and a CSV download are on the same page, and the same view is available in the employee app.
How do I correct a missed punch?
Open Attendance corrections on My Self-Service, click Raise a request, pick the date and the issue, such as Forgot check-out, enter the correct time and give a reason. The request goes to your reporting manager and then HR. Once both approve, the day is graded again with the corrected time.
Why can't I raise a correction for an older date?
Your company limits how far back a correction can go and how many you can raise in a month, and the page shows both limits. A date in a month that HR has already finalized for payroll cannot be corrected by an employee at all. In those cases, ask HR, who can raise the correction or reopen the month.
