About the role
An IIT JEE Faculty teaches physics, chemistry or mathematics to students preparing for JEE Main and JEE Advanced, usually in Class 11, Class 12 and dropper batches. The role delivers concept lectures and problem-solving classes, writes and discusses test papers, clears doubts and follows each batch's test scores. Key responsibilities
- Deliver lectures to the assigned JEE batches as per the course plan, covering theory, solved examples and graded exercises.
- Solve JEE Advanced-level problems in class using more than one approach, and show students how to choose the fastest route.
- Write and review questions for weekly tests, part tests and full mock papers in the JEE pattern, including numerical-value questions.
- Discuss each test after results, spending most time on the questions the majority got wrong.
- Run doubt-clearing sessions and answer doubts posted on the institute's app within the agreed time.
- Prepare and update study modules, daily practice problem sheets and formula sheets for the subject.
- Follow batch and student-wise test data, and flag students who need extra help or a change of batch.
- Record video lectures or teach live online classes for hybrid programmes when scheduled.
- Meet parents during PTMs to discuss scores, study habits and realistic targets.
- Cover board-level content in integrated school programmes, so students do not neglect their board exams.
