How it works
- Anyone allowed writes a post from the composer at the top of the wall, for the whole company or chosen branches or departments.
- The feed shows pinned posts first, then the newest, limited to company-wide posts and those meant for the viewer's branch or department.
- People react with thumbs up, love, celebrate or applause, and add comments when comments are on.
- Praise and celebration posts appear in the same feed, so good news sits in one place.
- Filters narrow the feed to announcements, posts, polls, praise or celebrations.
- In the employee app, people read, react, comment and write general posts.
What you can set
- General posts: on or off for the company, on by default.
- Comments: on or off for the company, on by default.
- Reactions: thumbs up, love, celebrate, applause.
- Feed filters: all, announcements, posts, polls, praise, celebrations.
- Views: Wall and Scheduled for people who post; Hidden and Reported for moderators.
- A login without an employee record sees company-wide posts only.
Why a company feed instead of WhatsApp groups
Most Indian companies already have a company WhatsApp group, and most HR teams know its problems: personal numbers exposed to everyone, good-morning messages burying real news, no way to reach one branch without a new group, and new joiners who never see anything posted before they joined. A company feed inside the HR system uses the org structure for audiences, keeps personal numbers private and gives HR moderation tools when a post goes wrong.
Worked example: two offices, one feed
An architecture firm with 90 people in Delhi and Jaipur uses the wall as its daily notice board. A Jaipur project lead posts that the museum drawings went to the client on time, for the whole company, and colleagues in both offices react and comment. The same morning the 07:00 celebration post shows a Delhi designer's work anniversary, and a praise post thanks a junior architect for a late-night model. On Friday, HR filters the feed to Announcements to check which notices are still live before the long weekend.
Ground rules that keep the feed useful
A few simple rules, posted once as an announcement with acknowledgement, prevent most problems before they start. People behave better on a shared feed when they know what it is for, and HR can then point to the rules instead of making a judgement call each time.
- Work news and team moments are welcome; political and religious debates are not.
- No personal data of customers, patients or colleagues in posts.
- Report a post that crosses the line instead of arguing in comments.
- HR hides posts that break the rules and explains why.

Can employees write their own posts on the company wall?
Yes, when general posts are switched on in the wall settings, which is the default. Employees write posts from the composer on the web or in the app and choose who sees them. If general posts are switched off, employees can no longer post, while announcements follow their own setting.
Can we switch off comments on the wall?
Yes. Comments can be switched off for the whole company in the wall settings. Reactions still work, so people can respond to a post without starting a thread. Turn comments back on whenever the company wants discussion under posts again.
Do employees see posts from other branches?
They see company-wide posts and posts addressed to their own branch or department. A post for the Chennai branch alone does not appear for Kolkata staff. HR and the Company Head, as moderators, see every post whatever its audience.
Are praise and birthday posts on the same wall?
Yes. When someone gives praise, it is posted to the wall, and every morning at 07:00 ZeniaHR posts the day's birthdays, work anniversaries, new joiners and confirmations. Filters let people see only praise or only celebrations when they want to.
