About the role
A Biology Teacher teaches senior secondary biology, and often NEET foundation, covering cell biology, genetics, human and plant physiology, ecology and biotechnology. Key responsibilities

- Plan and supervise practicals on microscopy, slide preparation, plant physiology experiments and study of specimens, following lab safety rules.
- Guide each student through an investigatory project, from choosing a topic to the written report and viva.
- Prepare students for the board practical exam, including the practical record, spotting of specimens and viva questions.
- Set tests with case-based, assertion-reason and diagram questions, and return them with written feedback.
- Agree with the lab assistant on stains, specimens and equipment needed each month, and report shortages before practicals start.
- Run extra sessions on NCERT-based objective questions for NEET aspirants where the school offers an integrated programme.
- Lead eco club activities, health awareness drives, science exhibitions and visits to botanical gardens or research labs.
- Maintain marks, practical records and project files for internal assessment and board inspection.
