Celebrations and Praise covers the small moments that make a workplace feel human. ZeniaHR shows birthdays, work anniversaries, new joiners and confirmations, lets colleagues send wishes early or late, and posts the day's celebrations on the company wall every morning at 7. The birth year is never shown in celebrations, and anyone can hide their birthday. Colleagues give each other praise with a badge and a short message, and a monthly leaderboard shows who was praised most and for what.

Who uses it

EmployeesSee upcoming celebrations, send wishes up to 30 days early or 7 days late, give praise with a badge and choose whether their own birthday or anniversary is shown.

ManagersSee the next 30 days of their team's celebrations on My Team, wish people from there and give praise to anyone in the team.

HR teamSets the company default for showing birthdays, changes privacy for a person on request, and adds, edits, archives or restores praise badges.

Company headSees today's celebrations on the dashboard and uses the monthly praise leaderboard to spot the people whom colleagues value most.

What gets celebrated

Four kinds of days are marked: birthdays, work anniversaries with the number of years, a new joiner's first day and a confirmation after probation. The Celebrations page shows them for any month as a list or a calendar, filtered by kind and department, and only active employees appear. Every morning at 07:00 company time, ZeniaHR posts the day's celebrations on the wall, and wishes from colleagues appear as comments under that post, so one post gathers the whole team's greetings.

Celebrations and praise use data HR already keeps, so there is nothing extra to maintain, and they show up across the product wherever people already look during the day, from self-service to the HR dashboard and the manager's team page.

Privacy first

ZeniaHR uses only the day and month of a birthday for celebrations, so the birth year and age never appear on the Celebrations page, on the wall, in self-service or in any bell. Each person can hide their birthday or work anniversary, HR can do it for them on request, and the company sets a default for whether birthdays show at all. A person's own choice always wins over the company default, so nobody is celebrated against their wishes.

Does ZeniaHR show an employee's age in celebrations?

No. Only the day and month of a birthday are used for celebrations. The birth year and age never appear on the Celebrations page, in self-service, on the wall or in any bell. Work anniversaries do show the number of years, since that milestone is the point of celebrating them.

Can an employee hide their birthday from colleagues?

Yes. Any employee can hide their birthday, their work anniversary or both from the Celebrations page, and HR can do it for them. Hidden days disappear from the Celebrations page, self-service and the wall. The person's own choice overrides the company default.

What is a praise badge?

It is a named recognition, such as Team player or Customer first, given by one colleague to another with a short message. The praise is posted on the company wall and the receiver gets a bell. HR can add the company's own badges next to the five that come ready.

Are celebration posts put up automatically?

Yes. Every morning at 07:00 company time, ZeniaHR posts the day's birthdays, work anniversaries, new joiners and confirmations on the company wall. People who have hidden their birthday or anniversary are left out. Wishes from colleagues then gather as comments under the post through the day.
